Tour Plan
Day 1: Arrival in Cochin and Transfer to Kumarakom
- Arrive at Cochin airport by 11 am
- Meet the group and start the road trip to Kumarakom
- Check-in at a property by the backwaters and get to know each other
Day 2: Cycling Tour and Shikara Ride
- Cycle through paddy fields, canals, and coconut trees to a village in the backwaters (7-10 km one way)
- Enjoy a slow and relaxed ride to explore the surroundings
- Later, take a shikara boat ride through the backwaters
Day 3: Kumarakom to Munnar and Cultural Show
- Depart from Kumarakom and travel to Munnar (approx. 4 hours)
- Enjoy the scenic views of tea estates en route
- In the evening, attend a cultural show (Kathakali or martial arts)
- Group games and fun activities
Day 4: Trek to Chokramudi or Sightseeing in Munnar
- Trek to Chokramudi peak (7,200 ft) with stunning valley and tea estate views
- Trek lasts about 7 hours, guided by locals
- Non-trekkers can explore Munnar’s sightseeing spots
Day 5: Munnar to Thekkady
- Travel from Munnar to Thekkady (approx. 3.5 hours)
- Enjoy the road trip and spend time exploring Thekkady
- Share travel stories and fun activities in the evening
Day 6: Elephant Junction and Travel to Varkala
- Visit Elephant Junction for an interactive experience – bathe and get sprayed by elephants
- After breakfast, start the longest road trip of the journey to Varkala
- Reach before sunset to enjoy the beach, swimming, and games
- Explore cliffside cafes, bookshops, and local markets
Day 7: Relax at the Beach
- Spend the day at the beach – play games, swim, sunbathe, or just relax
- Opt for a massage, rent a motorcycle for nearby explorations
- Try activities like surfing or cooking classes if interested
Day 8: Travel to Trivandrum and Departure
- Early morning road trip to Trivandrum
- Depart with great memories and new friendships
- Book return flights after 11 am or explore Varkala/Trivandrum further
